Souper Recipes for National Soup Month!

 Did you know that January is National Soup Month? It makes sense that a month this cold and wintery would be the perfect time to celebrate a warming bowl of soup. We’ve compiled our favourite soup recipes here for you to give a go!

 Soup is a universally loved food, with variations of the delicious dish enjoyed across the world and it’s easy to see why; extremely versatile and often quick and easy to make, with a good bowl of soup you really can’t go wrong.

 January is recognised as National Soup Month (that’s right, a whole month dedicated to soup!) and what better time of year to celebrate the tasty savoury dish than in the midst of winter when a warming bowl of soupy goodness can be the perfect pick-me-up after being out in the cold and rain, or to soothe sore throats and runny noses.

 We’ve compiled all our favourite soup recipes here for you to try out, packed full of goodness and quick and easy to whip up, they make for a stellar lunch and are the perfect way to use up leftover bits from the fridge, minimising food waste!

 

Our Favourite Tomato Soup

 You can’t go wrong with this classic, rich, tangy and fully flavoured, this is one of those cases where keeping it simple really pays off. We recommend using our organic vine tomatoes, plump and juicy, making them the ultimate base for this soup, however any fresh tomatoes will work just as well.

 Serve with a grilled cheese toasty on the side for delicious dunking, and voila! You have your perfect lunch!

Onion, Potato and Cheddar Soup

 Ridiculously easy to make and ridiculously tasty, this soup only requires 5 ingredients, making it great to cook up if the cupboards and fridge are looking a bit empty before your weekly shop.

Creamy, hearty and warming, this soup really feels like a hug in a bowl and is amazing served with slices of crusty toasted sourdough spread with a good layer of butter.

Belly Pork Ramen

 Whilst not technically a soup, the broth base of a ramen makes this dish undeniably warming and with ingredients as good as our organic pork belly, it really would be a crime not to include this recipe on the list.

Make your base using our organic chicken bone broth, simmered for 24 hours to extract maximum flavour and collagen, and top with roasted pork belly, a soft-boiled egg, portobello mushrooms and shredded carrot for a dish that is sure to satisfy.

Warming Turkey Soup

 Managed to still have some Christmas turkey leftovers lurking in your freezer? This recipe is the tastiest way to use it up and add some cheer to you January lunchtimes. Slightly spicy and full of seasonal veg this healthy and wholesome soup is a great way to fuel your body to get you through long winter days and support your immune system.

 Serve with chunks of crusty bread for dipping, or lightly toast cubes of bread under the grill for a few minutes with a dash of olive oil and salt to make croutons with a lovely crunch.
