Say No to Food Waste
Despite all the merriment, Christmas can be a very wasteful time of year in many ways. From excess packaging and wrapping paper, discarded in mere minutes, to food thrown away. Making sure to use up all your turkey leftovers this year is a great way to minimise food waste, creating your own mini closed-loop sustainability model, like the one we use on the farm.
If you have a garden, composting leftover fruit and veg from Christmas dinner is another fantastic way to minimise food waste, as well as a great method to pack nutrients into the soil in time for the spring growing season and leave your garden a flourishing paradise of growth.
