The coronation of His Majesty King Charles is approaching fast, taking place on Saturday the 6th of May with a bank holiday the following Monday in his honour.
Up and down the country, many of you will be getting ready to celebrate, planning street parties, big lunches and family gatherings to mark the occasion.
Here at Eversfield Organic, we’re sharing in the excitement of the nation as we get ready for the royal festivities, decorating our farm shops and inns, organising events, and creating a collection of organic produce, perfect for your weekend celebrations.

Whether you’re attending a street party, staying in to catch the coronation procession, or taking advantage of the long weekend for a bit of rest and relaxation, our coronation collection has all the organic essentials you need for the bank holiday weekend.
From new and delicious organic BBQ produce to inspire you to fire up the grill, to picnic essentials perfect for grazing on, and nibbles and tipples to get the party started, we’re your one-stop-shop for foodie delights, delivered to your door so there’s no need to rush around the supermarket.

Why not try our beef steak burgers? A definite crowd pleaser, made using our award-winning organic grass-fed beef, they’re packed full of flavour in every bite. Serve inside a lightly toasted brioche bun, with a slice of organic cheddar, gherkins and plenty of salad leaves for a meal fit for a king!
For the ultimate hot dog, our organic sausages are the way to go, made using free-range British pork, with a higher meat content than your average, there’s nothing better than tucking into one in a fluffy bun, topped with fried onions and of course, lashings of ketchup and mustard.
No coronation feast is complete without a spread of nibbles to share with family and friends. From juicy organic olives, cheeseboards, creamy houmous and crackers and crisps for dipping, as well as a selection of the finest organic charcuterie, we’ve got your snacking sorted.
Our Coronation Events
If you don’t feel like overseeing the BBQ yourself all weekend and happen to live locally to one of our farm shops, cafes, or organic inns you can sample our organic BBQ offerings and other foodie treats by paying us a visit across the coronation weekend.
Farm Shops and Cafes
At our Marlborough café, you’ll find our team grilling up a storm on Saturday the 6th and Sunday the 7th of May, decked out in Union Jacks as part of Marlborough’s town wide coronation celebrations. Enjoy a burger or hot dog fresh of the BBQ and indulge in an organic tipple of soft drink for the festivities!

Our Totnes farm shop will also be holding a BBQ outside for the coronation on Saturday the 6th from 11:30am - 5:00pm offering much the same as Marlborough, to delight your tastebuds, alongside cream teas, drinks and a royal regatta cocktail across the weekend.
You can also keep your eyes peeled for the official coronation quiche, which will be available for a limited time from our farm shops and cafes; a favourite of the king himself, with a classic Eversfield Organic twist.
Our Organic Inns
There will be a BBQ held in the beautiful beer garden at The Ring of Bells in North Bovey, where our expert chef Lewis will be serving our organic BBQ specialities hot off the grill.
The Dartmoor Inn and the team there will be decked out in full Union Jack attire for the coronation, serving their regular menu of seasonal British produce throughout the weekend; the perfect place to share a celebratory meal and drink!
King Charles and Organic Farming
We couldn’t discuss the upcoming coronation without mentioning King Charles’ interest in organic farming and dedication to environmentalism throughout his life. From a young age His Royal Highness has advocated for the protection of the environment and action against the effects of climate change, using his position to raise awareness across the world.
In a 1995 speech, he is quoted “I do not want to be accused by my grandchildren of sitting idly by and doing nothing while the biodiversity that my generation inherited was being destroyed by short-term short-sightedness and crass insensitivity.”

From championing initiatives which encourage businesses to finding sustainable solutions, such as the Sustainable Markets Initiatives, to publicly voicing his concerns about global issues like deforestation and the climate crisis, the King’s environmental efforts also extend a lot closer to home.
Long recognising the environmental benefits and importance of organic agriculture King Charles has been farming organically at Home Farm and Sandringham, a decision that was first prompted by his concerns over the widespread use of antibiotics in conventional farming, soil fertility and biodiversity, with a revolutionary stance on farming that was considered way ahead of its time.
Starting the Prince’s Countryside Fund to help identify and overcome issues faced by rural farming communities the King has also been instrumental in helping support British agriculture, with the charity responding to farmer’s needs and helping rural communities become more self-sufficient and viable.
