Celebrate Burns Night with An Organic Haggis
Honouring the life of one of the most famous Scots, Burns Night is a celebration filled with poetry, whisky and, of course, haggis!
What is Burns Night?
Robert Burns was born on the 25th of January 1759. One of Scotland’s most famous figures, known for his legendary poetry, Burns Night has been celebrated in Scotland and further afield on the 25th of January every year since 1801.
The traditional celebration consists of songs sung, poems recited, whisky toasted and (the part we get most excited for) a hearty meal of haggis, neeps and tatties!
Burns Night Food
Food is a massive part of the Burns Nights celebrations, with the Burns Supper consisting of a number of traditional Scottish dishes.
Kick off your Burns Supper with a bowl of cock-a-leekie soup, warming, full of goodness and surprisingly easy to make, this Scottish favourite is a must.

The national dish of Scotland, haggis, is the star of the show at a Burns Night dinner. Whilst not the most aesthetically pleasing dish, what haggis lacks in looks, it more than makes up for in flavour: meaty, earthy and slightly spicy, with a soft crumbly texture akin to stuffing.

Standing the test of time haggis has been a popular dish in Scotland for centuries, favoured by Robert Burns himself who immortalised his love of the savoury pudding with an entire poem – ‘Address to a Haggis’ which is traditionally recited as the meal is served.
Whilst you can prepare your own haggis for burns night, we’ve saved you the trouble with our organic gluten-free haggis. Deliciously tasty with an excellent nutty texture, our haggis pairs perfectly with neeps and tatties, washed down with a glass of whisky.
Burns Night Drinks
As we’ve mentioned, whisky is the traditional drink served on Burns Night, the perfect way to toast the night, however if that’s not really your speed, a red wine pairs perfectly with haggis too. We recommend an organic Chateau De La Marjoliere Cahors Malbec with rich berry and earthy notes to compliment your meal.
